Spring sowing is actively being carried out in Kazakhstan: 908 thousand hectares of land have been planted

The total area planted with agricultural crops in Kazakhstan has reached 908.5 thousand hectares, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Currently, planting is being carried out intensively, especially in the southern regions of the country. In Almaty region - 123 thousand hectares, in Turkestan region - 263.5 thousand hectares, in Zhambyl region - 295.5 thousand hectares, in Kyzylorda region - 33.4 thousand hectares, in West Kazakhstan region - 30.1 thousand hectares, in Atyrau region - 2.7 thousand hectares, in Zhetysu region - 142.2 thousand hectares, and in the city of Shymkent - 15.7 thousand hectares.
Cereal crops were planted on 459.4 thousand hectares, fodder crops on 159.9 thousand hectares, vegetables on 46.9 thousand hectares, potatoes on 18.2 thousand hectares, garden crops on 35.3 thousand hectares, oil crops on 114 thousand hectares, and cotton on 43.9 thousand hectares.
Important stages of spring field work were also completed: 10.7 million 100,000 hectares of land were covered with moisture, 2.5 million hectares were tilled before sowing, and 1.1 million hectares were finished with spring plowing. This year, the plan to apply fertilizer is 1.9 million tons. Currently, contracts for the purchase of 752.8 thousand tons of fertilizers have been signed, and 504.9 thousand tons of them have been delivered. In addition, 152.3 thousand tons of diesel fuel were shipped.
The need for seeds is 2.3 million tons. Among them, 1.6 million tons passed the quality examination, and 99% of the tested seeds were recognized as meeting the standard.
The agricultural season is proceeding according to the established plan. All necessary measures have been taken to successfully complete the sowing campaign.
