At the National Congress held in Atyrau last year, the Head of the State gave an order to establish the National Book Day.

According to that, from this year April 23 is designated as the National Book Day. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on the occasion of the special day.

- Happy National Book Day, which is celebrated for the first time this year! This is a day that glorifies good qualities such as education, inquisitiveness, bookishness. The generation that has read books will be forward-thinking. A quality nation is formed through such values, says the congratulation.
