In Kyzylorda, servicemen of Military Unit 5547 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan came to the aid of residents caught in a life-threatening fire.

While on routine patrol, the military detail noticed thick black smoke coming from the windows of a multi-storey residential building on Abulkhair Khan Street. Under the leadership of Lieutenant Zhasurbek Abdullayev, the servicemen promptly joined forces with firefighters and paramedics to assist in the evacuation of residents.

A total of 10 people, including one child, were safely evacuated. Acting quickly, Sergeant Malik Kolganat and Private Abdybek Samat helped guide residents to safety. Additional National Guard units arrived to secure the perimeter, restrict access to the fire zone, and ensure the safety of both civilians and emergency workers.

- Thick smoke filled the building, making entry without specialized gear impossible. Emergency service personnel led people out of the building and handed them over to us. We then escorted them to a safe area where medics were waiting, - said Deputy Company Commander Zhasurbek Abdullayev.

The guards remained on-site until the fire was fully extinguished and the danger to human life was eliminated.

Thanks to the coordinated and decisive actions of the firefighters, National Guard servicemen, and emergency medical teams, a major tragedy was averted, and lives were saved.
