The Government for Citizens State Corporation has introduced biometric identification technology for car owners and examinees in the provision of public services in specialized public service centers.
Previously, identity identification in special services was carried out directly by employees based on a document provided by the service recipient. Now, during the registration process, a person is photographed, after which the system automatically compares the resulting image with a photo stored in the State Database of Individuals, eliminating the possibility of using a fake image or photo from the screen of a mobile device.
"We eliminated the human factor, which left a loophole for abuse and made the system of obtaining public services partly opaque. Biometric identification is a direct way to reduce the number of violations and eliminate corruption risks in special centers. This state—of-the-art technology brings us one step closer to creating an absolutely legitimate and open system for the provision of public services," says Arman Kenzhegaliev, Chairman of the Management Board of the State Corporation.
Note that if biometric identification is not possible, further provision of the service is blocked by the system.
Let us remind you that today public services can be obtained both in PSC centers and on the e-government portal, as well as through the PSC mobile application and applications of second-tier banks.
