The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Malaysia, H.E. Bulat Sugurbayev, visited the headquarters of Hovid, a leading Malaysian pharmaceutical company.

With over 80 years of experience in the industry, Hovid stands as one of Malaysia’s most established pharmaceutical manufacturers. Its portfolio includes more than 400 products, ranging from generics and over-the-counter medicines to nutritional supplements. The company exports to over 50 countries, reflecting the global competitiveness and high quality of its products. Hovid also operates state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities certified to international GMP and ISO standards, with a strong emphasis on research and development.

During the visit, Kazakh diplomats presented investment opportunities within Kazakhstan’s pharmaceutical sector. Discussions focused on potential collaboration between Hovid and pharmaceutical as well as distribution companies in Kazakhstan. Particular attention was given to opportunities for localizing production, technology transfer, and  supplying products to the Kazakh market.
