13-15 May 2025 in London, Kazakhstan delegation headed by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Governor for Kazakhstan in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Madi Takiyev took part in the Annual Meeting of the EBRD Board of Governors and Business Forum.

Within the framework of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors approved and adopted the annual reports on the EBRD's activities for 2024, obtaining the status of recipient countries in Africa, as well as adopted a strategic document on the EBRD's financing programme for 2026-2030.

On the margins of the event, the Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan, Madi Takiyev, held a number of bilateral meetings.

At a meeting with the President of the EBRD Odile Renault-Basso, the parties discussed the prospects of the EBRD's activities in Kazakhstan and priorities for further co-operation.

In the course of negotiations with the Deputy Head of the London Stock Exchange Charlie Walker, the issues of development of financial co-operation within the framework of Eurobonds issue were considered. At a meeting with Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Standart Chartered UK Saif Malik discussed the development of financial co-operation, including the activities of the bank in Kazakhstan. On the mechanism of climate initiatives and the expansion of trade and economic relations was discussed at the talks with the Minister of Planning, Economy and International Cooperation of Egypt Rania Al-Mashat.

Following the meetings, the parties expressed confidence in the implementation of joint projects and further development of mutually beneficial partnership.
