350 manufacturers from all regions of Kazakhstan presented their products at the VIII exhibition of domestic manufacturers «Ulttyq ónim» in Astana.   

At the eighth annual exhibition, which started on May 16 at the EXPO International Exhibition Center, Kazakhstani manufacturers presented thousands of types of goods in various industries: food, light industry, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, equipment manufacturing, jewelry and other goods. All the enterprises at the exposition received financial and other support measures from the «Damu» Fund, the country's key financial institution for supporting small and medium–sized businesses.

«The eighth Ulttyq ónim exhibition is the best proof and demonstration of the development of domestic entrepreneurship. Our manufacturers are strengthening their positions within the country, exporting, and becoming recognizable brands abroad. And government support for small and medium-sized businesses will only increase. This year, we have set a course for accelerated development of the real sector of the economy. The government has announced an open order for SME investment projects in such priority areas as information technology, logistics, tourism, food production, building materials, mechanical engineering, light and chemical industries. These areas will receive comprehensive support», — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin said at the opening of the exhibition.

The exhibition features such sought-after products as kitchen stoves, ventilation, medical equipment, transformers, animal feed, suitcases, textiles, building materials, antiseptics, clothing, shoes and many others. One of the participants is «Aurora Production Complex» LLP, a manufacturer of disinfectants and detergents, which has been operating on the market for 15 years. The range includes more than 40 types of cosmetic products, 55 types of household chemicals and over 80 items of disinfectants.

«Our main focus in the production of our products is on efficiency, safety and accessibility.  It is best to buy dishwashing detergents, liquid soap, household chemicals for washing glasses, kitchens and laundry from us. We are constantly updating the line: among the new products are aroma diffusers for home and office, there is a wide range of products for children under the Booboo brand. Our products are widely represented in Kazakhstan's retail chains, marketplaces and neighboring countries», — said Ermek Yerkynov, Regional Director of «Aurora Production Complex» LLP.

In 2024, the Government allocated 336 billion tenge for the implementation of business support programs through the instruments of subsidizing and guaranteeing the Baiterek holding. 29,5 thousand projects totaling 1,7 trillion tenge in loans received state support, including 2,7 thousand concessional lending projects totaling 254 billion tenge in loans. These measures have allowed to create 9,7 thousand jobs, produce products worth 25.4 trillion tenge and ensure the receipt of 1,7 trillion tenge of taxes. As a result, the share of people employed in the SME sector reached 48% of the population in 2024, and the contribution to the country's GDP was almost 40%.
