The delegation of the leading university of Great Britain visited Karaganda Technical University

Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov received a delegation from the University of Exeter (Great Britain). The guests were informed about the priorities in the development of science in the region, and also conducted a tour of the university campus.
The university delegation included Professor Stuart Berhope, Deputy Vice-Rector for Global Affairs, and Rachel Jones, Head of Global Partnerships at the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economics.
Specialists from the University of Exeter met with the leadership of the Karaganda Technical University named after Saginov and discussed prospects for cooperation, including the expansion of academic mobility programs for students and teachers.
– This was the first visit of this delegation to our university. We discussed the issues we were interested in and conducted a tour of the campus for our guests. Now, based on all this, both they and we will think about possible formats and options for cooperation," says Timur Kanapyanov, Vice–rector for Strategic Development and Digitalization at Saginov Karaganda Technical University.
An excursion to the enterprises of QARMET JSC was also organized for the British delegation.
Then representatives of the University of Exeter in Astana met with the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek. They also considered possible prospects for academic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UK.
The University of Exeter is a multidisciplinary British university with a long history. It was founded in 1855. Today, students from all over the world study at the university.
The University of Exeter is a member of the prestigious Russell Group Association of Research Universities.
