A new meat processing plant is being built in the Abai district, which will process up to 2,100 tons of raw materials per year. 20 jobs will be created in production, but the staff will expand in the future.

The Alisha Group meat processing plant provides workshops for slaughtering, meat processing and the production of canned products. The equipment is expected to be delivered in the near future.

According to the initiator of the project, Rustam Kaliev, the plant is designed for daily processing of up to 300 heads of small cattle and 50 heads of large ones.

— Products — chilled and frozen meat, canned meat, vacuum and thermopackages, as well as new formats for various serving to consumers. The production meets modern requirements, including halal standards and international food safety certificates. In the future, we will launch lines for processing wool and hides," says Rustam Kaliev. — The main sales markets are Kazakhstan, the Persian Gulf countries, China, Turkey, and Europe.

The raw materials will be purchased from local farmers, with whom there are already preliminary agreements. Due to adequate purchase prices, agricultural producers are interested in partnership. In the future, the company intends to switch to its own cattle breeding.

The Abai district was not chosen for the construction of the plant by chance: there are logistical advantages and the presence of agricultural producers.

— Such enterprises not only create jobs, but also provide added value locally, strengthen the rural economy and make the region attractive to investors. The Karaganda region has all the resources for the growth of agro—processing," said the head of the region.
