A working meeting has been held in Astana between the representatives of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan — the member of the Council Yernar Begaliyev and the Head of the Department of the Council's Office Aida Kayzhakparova and the representative of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Fuat Erdogmush.

During the meeting, TIKA representatives were introduced to key areas of activity of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Academy of Justice, as well as initiatives implemented under the leadership of the Chairman of the Council Dmitriy Malakhov, aimed at improving the quality of training and selection of judicial personnel.

During the meeting the parties discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of judicial training and advanced training for judicial system staff. The main directions of further cooperation were identified, including through the Academy of Justice.

Following the meeting, it was decided to develop and sign a memorandum of cooperation aimed at implementation of joint educational and research projects, as well as the organization of mutual visits, internships and events oriented on improving the level of professional training of judges and candidates for judicial positions.

Special attention is paid to the exchange of experience and the implementation of the best international practices in the training of judicial personnel. The parties expressed their readiness for active and systematic cooperation in this area.

Holding such meetings contributes to the improvement of national approaches in the training of judicial personnel, taking into account international best practices. Work in this direction will continue.
