In June 2024, legislative acts were amended at the initiative of the Prosecutor General's Office.

     According to the changes, businessmen who employ convicts in penal colonies can receive the status of a "Social Entrepreneur", which gives them the opportunity to use a wide range of government support measures – grants, subsidies, tax benefits, and more.

     The innovations were explained in detail to the entrepreneurs by the regional Prosecutor's office at the site of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs.

      Subsequently, accompanied by prosecutors, one of the businessmen, having received the status of a "Social Entrepreneur", won a grant in the amount of 5 million tenge.

      The funds received were used by him to develop production facilities for the production of children's educational toys for preschool organizations by convicts.

      The Prosecutor's Office of East Kazakhstan Region continues to work on attracting business entities to correctional institutions and informs that the supervisory authority is open to assistance in supporting legal issues.
