Judges of the Constitutional Court and employees of its Office visited the office of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana and familiarized themselves with its work.

As noted by the Director of the Archive Aliya Mustafina in its funds stored more than 1.5 million state documents, a significant part of which is now digitized and available to users in electronic format.

The judges noted that in checking the compliance of normative legal acts with the Constitution, special attention is paid to the study of state documents, including archival materials reflecting the historical and legal significance of constitutional provisions and the will of the legislator and state bodies in adopting laws and by-laws, as well as legal statistics of law enforcement practice.

It should be noted that all documents of constitutional proceedings are kept in the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 1992, when the body of constitutional control first appeared in Kazakhstan.
