On May 20, 2025, a meeting of the regional commission on state symbols was held under the chairmanship of Deputy akim of the region Narymbetov Bakhytzhan Khaberovich. During the meeting, the reports of the akims of Amangeldy, Karasu districts and the city of Rudny were heard. They reported on the ongoing work in their regions on the use and promotion of state symbols. The representative of the Kostanay region Police Department also focused on the practice of applying administrative responsibility for violating the Law "On State Symbols". In conclusion, the heads of the departments of public development and education provided information on the planned events to celebrate the Day of State Symbols this year. In addition, the issue of changing the regional symbol was considered. According to article 27 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Local Public Administration and Self-Government", on October 30, 2024, by order of the Minister of Culture and Information, the Rules for the development of projects of regional symbols were approved. These rules regulate the procedure for approving symbols at the regional level. In accordance with these changes, it became necessary to revise the regional symbol of Kostanay region. Following the meeting, specific instructions were given to government agencies.
