Rules of currency transportation across the customs border

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 14.03.2022 No. 830 "On measures for ensuring financial stability of the Republic of Kazakhstan", it is prohibited to export foreign currency in cash and (or) monetary instruments in foreign currency in an amount exceeding the equivalent of 10,000 (ten thousand) US dollars and calculated at the exchange rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, established on the date of export from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Also, according to sp.7, p.1, Article 343 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 26, 2017 No. 123-VI LRK "On customs regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan" (hereinafter – the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan), cash and (or) traveler's checks are subject to customs declaration if the total amount of such cash and (or) traveler's checks by their one-time import into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union or one-time export from the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union exceeding the equivalent of ten thousand US dollars at the exchange rate, effective on the date of submitting the passenger customs declaration to the customs authority.
According to the Decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 130 dated August 6, 2019, documents are required to confirm the origin of cash and (or) monetary instruments by their one-time import or export through the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union exceeding the equivalent of 100 thousand US dollars at the exchange rate effective on the day of submitting the customs to the passenger customs declaration authority.
