As part of the promotion of the "Law and Order" narrative in society, as well as in order to ensure compliance with anti-corruption legislation and legislation in the field of education, representatives of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption in the East Kazakhstan region and the Department of Education of the region met with parents at the regional specialized IT lyceum in Ust-Kamenogorsk. students. The event was held on the eve of the end of the academic year and was aimed at discussing topical issues related to the prevention of illegal collection of funds in educational institutions. During the meeting, Gulnur Bekbaeva, a senior officer of the Anti-Corruption Service for East Kazakhstan Region, explained in detail to parents the measures of responsibility provided for by law for handing gifts and other material assets to the management and staff of educational institutions. It was emphasized that such actions can be qualified as corruption offenses. The topic of the ban on collecting funds from students, parents and teachers, regardless of goals and reasons, was also raised. Representatives of the Anti-Corruption Service reminded that any form of extortion in schools is unacceptable and contradicts current legislation. During the meeting, the Department of Education paid special attention to the implementation of anti-corruption projects among young people aimed at creating a culture of integrity, academic honesty and fairness among students. Parents were told about current initiatives involving schoolchildren in socially significant activities aimed at strengthening moral values and developing civic responsibility. Holding such meetings helps not only to inform parents about the importance of complying with the law, but also to create an atmosphere of transparency, trust and fairness in the educational environment.
