The event was held on the eve of the end of the academic year and was aimed at discussing topical issues related to the prevention of illegal collection of funds in educational institutions. During the meeting, Gulnur Bekbaeva, a senior officer of the Anti-Corruption Service for East Kazakhstan Region, explained in detail to parents the measures of responsibility provided for by law for handing gifts and other material assets to the management and staff of educational institutions. It was emphasized that such actions can be qualified as corruption offenses. The topic of the ban on collecting funds from students, parents and teachers, regardless of goals and reasons, was also raised. Representatives of the Anti-Corruption Service reminded that any form of extortion in schools is unacceptable and contradicts current legislation. During the meeting, the Department of Education paid special attention to the implementation of anti-corruption projects among young people aimed at creating a culture of integrity, academic honesty and fairness among students. Parents were told about current initiatives involving schoolchildren in socially significant activities aimed at strengthening moral values and developing civic responsibility.
