Today, the Zhetisu Region hosted a stage of the seasonal Republican Command-Staff Exercise “Ört-2025,” aimed at enhancing the preparedness of civil protection forces to respond to wildfires.

During the exercise, response actions for a simulated forest fire* were practiced, involving aerial and ground equipment, as well as personnel from emergency services. Special attention was given to coordination among DCD units, local authorities, forestry services, disaster medicine teams, and volunteer formations.

The exercise was conducted under the supervision of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and provided a comprehensive assessment of readiness for the 2025 fire season.

*Note: No open fire was used during the exercise — professional smoke generators were utilized to simulate smoke, ensuring safety for the environment.
