The 33rd session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Kostanay region was held in Kostanay, dedicated to an important date — the 30th anniversary of the founding of the APK. The event was attended by representatives of ethnic and cultural associations, deputies, activists of youth movements, teachers, as well as members of the Council of Mothers and other public figures.​Opening the session, it was noted that over the past three decades, the Assembly has become an important institution of social harmony, unity and stability in a multinational society. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has repeatedly stressed that "unity and cohesion, dialogue, mutual respect and civic responsibility are the unshakable foundations of the progressive development of our state." These values formed the basis of the issues discussed at the session.
The agenda included topical topics: the activities of ethno-cultural associations, the work of the deputy group for interaction with the regional Assembly, the promotion of state policy in the field of strengthening multicultural dialogue, as well as the role of youth in APK projects.
Presentations were made by Chairman of the Uzbek ethnocultural association Rihsibai Abdurakhmanovich Mammadov, member of the deputy group "Bir el – bir mudde" and the Council of Mothers Gainiya Kalimzhanovna Yeseeva, teacher of the Kazakh language training program "Mamile" Dmitry Sergeevich Romashchenko and activist of the Chechen-Ingush association "Vainakh" Deniz Timaev. In their speeches, they shared successful practices in developing interethnic cooperation, strengthening civic identity and promoting the Kazakh language in a multiethnic environment.
Special attention was paid at the session to the project "Assembly. Parliament. Maslikhats", implemented on behalf of the President on the basis of the deputy group "Bir el – bir mudde". The project is aimed at strengthening cooperation between government officials, ethno-cultural associations and the population of the regions.
Akim of Kostanay region, Chairman of the regional Assembly Kumar Irgebayevich Aksakalov in his speech expressed gratitude to the participants of the session for their active citizenship and contribution to strengthening interethnic harmony. He noted that all conditions have been created in the region to support youth initiatives, promote the state language, implement socially significant projects and preserve interethnic stability.
At the end of the event, an award ceremony was held, during which commemorative medals "30 years of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" were presented.
