In the women's colony of the Abai region, a 46-year-old convict married a man. A woman is serving a sentence for stealing gold jewelry worth 35 million tenge. The court sentenced her to five years in prison.

        During a conversation with the staff of the institution, she said that she has two sons: the eldest is 18 years old, and the youngest is 11. She divorced her ex-husband seven years ago. Today she registered her marriage with her lover.

             — We met three years ago at the market. He looked at me closely for a year, and then offered to live together. When I was imprisoned, I thought that was it, our relationship was over, and I was pleasantly surprised when he came on a date for the first time. On the same day, he offered to register the marriage," the convict shared.             

         The marriage ceremony was attended by the administration of the institution. The deputy head of the colony, Anar Sabieva, congratulated the newlyweds on starting a new family and wished them family well-being.
