This year, the acreage of crops in Akmola region will amount to 5.5 million hectares. This was announced at a government meeting by akim of the region Marat Akhmetzhanov.

The head of the region noted that this is 52 thousand hectares more than last year. This growth is the result of the systematic work of farmers and evidence of a stable pace in the field of agriculture.

As part of the diversification , oilseed crops have been increased to 430 thousand hectares . To date, sowing operations have been carried out on an area of more than 433 thousand hectares.
"All preparatory measures have been completed for the sowing campaign. In winter, snow retention was carried out on an area of 1.1 million hectares in order to collect moisture. More than 3 million hectares of wet coating have been carried out. More than 2 million hectares of soil were cultivated before sowing, which is 3 times more than last year,
" said Marat Akhmetzhanov.

The mayor also said that the required number of seeds has been prepared. This year, twice as many seeds were produced for air heating. Compared to 2023, the introduction of mineral additives will be increased by 3 times.

All this became possible thanks to the timely support of the Government. Agricultural machinery is being actively updated in the region. Since the beginning of the year, 364 units of equipment worth more than 10 billion tenge have been purchased. In total, 37 thousand units of agricultural machinery will be involved in the sowing operations.

A sufficient amount of preferential diesel fuel has been allocated for spring field work, and shipments are carried out according to the established schedule.

Thanks to the support of the government, early financing of spring field work was carried out. The pool of applications for preferential loans amounted to more than 108 billion tenge.Loans were received by 664 farmers in the amount of more than 100 billion tenge. The loan disbursement continues.
