As part of the republican decade "Kazakhstanbalalary", dedicated to the International Children's Day, children from the orphanages "Umit" and "Family-type Children's Village" visited the Public Service Center No. 3 in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The visit was timed to coincide with the CyberTumar Day and was aimed at introducing children to modern digital technologies and the possibilities of receiving public services.

Employees of the Branch "Government for Citizens" in the East Kazakhstan Region organized an introductory tour of the Public Service Center for young guests and told them in detail about the key areas of work. They also showed how modern digital technologies make the process of receiving public services transparent, convenient and accessible.

During the tour, the children were explained that the Public Service Centers are divided into several zones, for example, issuance, speed, documentation, comfort. This allows for quick and efficient service of clients, dividing them by type of service, complexity of questions and other parameters. The children were especially interested in the self-service area, where each resident can independently obtain a service without the participation of an operator. They were also explained what an electronic digital signature (EDS) is and why it is important to observe the basics of cyber hygiene.

“Today, digital technologies have become an integral part of every person’s life. It is very important that they not only know how to use them, but also understand the importance of security and responsibility in the digital space. I believe that such events help to lay a solid foundation for digital literacy,” said Azamat Esembulov, Director of the East Kazakhstan Region Branch.

At the end of the event, the children were presented with certificates for completing a children's overview course on the activities of the State Corporation and the basics of safe behavior on the Internet. It should be noted that the event was held with the support of the International Center for Information Technologies and Awareness-raising.
