On May 30, 2025, the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Samarkand held a meeting with the Rector of the Samarkand State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering named after Mirzo Ulugbek (hereinafter - SamGASU), Mrs. Chigdem Changbai Turkyilmaz.

The parties discussed issues of scientific, educational, academic and humanitarian cooperation, exchange of experience between educational institutions of the two countries, as well as prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of education and science. Special attention was paid to the implementation of academic mobility programs between SamGASU and leading universities in Kazakhstan – the Kazakh Head Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KazGASA), Satbayev University and Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov.

The Rector informed about the history of the creation and development of the University, the large-scale scientific and practical work carried out. She also expressed interest in expanding cooperation with higher education institutions in Kazakhstan.

In turn, the Consul General noted his willingness to provide comprehensive support to initiatives aimed at strengthening scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
