Jakarta, May 31, 2025 – Kazakhstan made its debut at one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent fashion events, “Indonesia Fashion Week 2025”, held in Jakarta from May 28 to June 1. The country was proudly represented by renowned designer Aida Kaumenova, who showcased her latest collection under her label “Aida KaumeNOVA”.
The exclusive show held on May 31 became a cultural highlight of the fashion week. The “prêt-à-porter de luxe” collection combined modern silhouettes, intricate tailoring, and distinct ethnic aesthetics. Inspired by the nature of the Kazakh steppes and the country’s rich ornamental heritage, the designer created a visual poetry of fabrics, color, and form.
The event attracted over 5,000 participants, including business and creative professionals, leading fashion experts, diplomatic missions, media, and the general public. The Kazakh designer’s show drew significant attention and received high praise from organizers and fashion professionals alike.
“It is a great honor for me to represent Kazakhstan on such a significant international platform. My collection is both a tribute to the culture of my people and a dialogue with the world through the language of fashion,” said Aida Kaumenova.
Kazakhstan’s participation was made possible through the efforts of “Kazakhstan Fashion Week” founders Sayat Dosybayev and Alexey Chzhen, along with the partnership support of Vladimir Pomukchinsky. Kazakhstan’s presentation at “Indonesia Fashion Week 2025” marked an important step in strengthening the country’s cultural image on the global fashion stage and reaffirmed its commitment to developing creative and cultural cooperation between nations.
Held since 2011 under the auspices of the Indonesian Fashion Entrepreneurs and Designers Association (APPMI), Indonesia Fashion Week is one of the most influential platforms in the region, promoting national brands and new talents to the world.
