As part of the roadmap developed to improve transport infrastructure and enhance road safety in the city of Kostanay, extensive preparatory work was carried out last year, including the construction of seven additional right-turn lanes and the expansion of ten street intersections.

            In the latest phase of the project, new right-turn lanes were opened on the "Bereke – Airport" road section, allowing drivers to turn right onto Stantsionnaya and Uralskaya streets from both directions without waiting for a green traffic light.

            It is worth noting that this practice has been implemented in Kostanay for the third consecutive year. This innovative approach significantly eases traffic flow and increases road capacity. In addition, the movement of freight vehicles and buses over the railway crossings on the "Bereke – Airport" route has been prohibited — appropriate road signs have been installed.

            This year, the installation of right-turn lanes and road widening work will continue at the intersections of Kairbekova and Nazarbayeva, Tauelsizdik and Borodina, Al-Farabi and Abai Avenue, as well as at the intersections of Abai Avenue with Gogol Street, Tauelsizdik with Altynsarina, Al-Farabi with Chekhov and Tauelsizdik, Baimagambetova with Gagarina, and Baimagambetova with Baumana.
