A meeting dedicated to combating corruption and strengthening the principles of law and order in the activities of government agencies was held in the Akimat of the East Kazakhstan region. This event has become a platform for an open discussion of systemic crime prevention measures. The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption in East Kazakhstan Region Sadykov N.K., Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan Region Nurgaliev E.Zh., as well as heads of the Department of Education, Department of Physical Culture and Sports, representatives of secondary education organizations and education departments of cities and districts of the region. The main topic of the meeting was the consideration of the submissions of the Anti-Corruption Service made in accordance with Article 200 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The presentations concerned the elimination of factors contributing to the commission of corruption offenses in the field of education and sports, two key areas of social policy. As the participants of the meeting emphasized, the issues of corruption vulnerability in these areas are particularly sensitive for society, as they directly affect the interests of citizens, the younger generation and form a common trust in state institutions. During the discussion, the heads of the Department of Education of East Kazakhstan Region I.Chernysheva and the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of East Kazakhstan Region A.Mozhanov was informed about the measures taken. According to them, organizational and preventive steps aimed at eliminating the identified risks were implemented in response to the submissions of the Anti-Corruption Service. Special attention is paid to educational work, increasing the transparency of processes and strengthening internal control.
