Budapest, June 3, 2025 — A meeting took place at the central office of the Hungarian company Pureco Ltd. between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Hungary, Abzal Saparbekuly, and the management of the company, which specializes in sustainable solutions in the field of water supply, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation within the framework of modernizing water supply and sanitation systems in Kazakhstan, including the implementation of modern technologies in rural and remote regions. Particular attention was given to the possibilities of localizing production, establishing technical partnerships, and the company’s participation in the implementation of environmentally oriented projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Ambassador emphasized that in 2025, Kazakhstan adopted a new Water Code, aimed at improving the efficiency of water resource management, developing digital solutions, implementing water reuse practices, and ensuring sustainable water supply under climate and infrastructure challenges.

The management of Pureco Ltd. expressed interest in exploring the Kazakh market and the possibility of participating in projects through the implementation of modular water treatment systems, biotechnologies for wastewater processing, as well as solutions for rainwater collection and reuse.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation under the coordination of Kazakh Invest, including the preparation of an investment proposal, analysis of logistical and production conditions in Kazakhstan’s regions, and the organization of a visit by company representatives to Kazakhstan for more detailed negotiations and visits to potential sites.
