BRICS Parliamentary Forum Opens in Brazil

Brasilia, June 4, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov took part in the plenary session on the occasion of the opening of the 11th Parliamentary Forum of BRICS Member and Partner Countries, held under the chairmanship of Brazil.

The event was organized by the Federal Senate and the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Brazil. The goal of the forum is to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation, stimulate scientific and technical exchange, promote sustainable development, support global governance reforms, and enhance the role of parliaments, civil society and women in shaping the BRICS collective agenda.

The main sessions of the forum are devoted to six key areas reflecting the priorities of the Brazilian chairmanship: developing cooperation in the field of global health; strengthening trade and economic ties, investment and financial interaction; combating climate change; forming international approaches to the governance of artificial intelligence; discussing issues of peace architecture and global security; as well as institutional development aimed at increasing the effectiveness of multilateral mechanisms within the BRICS framework.

The delegation of Kazakhstan at this event was represented by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Brazil. In general, the participation of our country in the parliamentary forum reflects the desire to deepen the dialogue with the BRICS states and develop cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
