A meeting on the topic "Taza Kazakstan: Faith. Unity. Purity" was held in Atyrau, dedicated to the formation of environmental culture. The event was attended by the head of the Department of Natural Resources and Nature Management of the region Nurlan Zhantokov, representatives of various faiths, deputies of the regional and city maslikhats, members of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, environmentalists and heads of non-governmental organizations, the Regional Communications Service reports.

At the event, aimed at uniting spiritual purity and environmental culture, Nurlan Zhantokov spoke about the work done in the region and covered in detail the projects implemented within the framework of the "Taza Kazakstan" concept. According to him, this initiative has become a common task not only at the local level, but also on the scale of the republic.

“Since last year, the country has been holding the environmental campaign “Taza Kazakstan”, within the framework of which many events have been held. Systematic work is also being carried out in the Atyrau region. The concept of “Taza Kazakhstan” has been developed, cleaning campaigns, clean-up days and environmental educational projects are being held. This is not just maintaining cleanliness, but awakening in each citizen the responsibility for protecting the nature of their homeland,” Nurlan Zhantokov noted.

During the meeting, the chief imam of the Imangali mosque Bolatbek Abuov, the priest of the Assumption Cathedral Aleksandr Yermakov and the representative of the Apostolic Administration of the Roman Catholic Church Stefan Belko made reports in which they talked about the spiritual foundations of religion, calling for the protection of nature, preserving cleanliness, maintaining peace and unity. They especially emphasized that environmental protection is the faithful fulfillment of the divine covenant.

“Faith is trust in the heart of a person. It is associated with purity, honesty and justice. Protecting nature is the business of a believer,” Bolatbek Abuov said.

The chief expert of the organizational department of the internal policy department of the Atyrau region on public accord issues Muratbek Sattigull noted the active participation of the Assembly's youth in environmental projects. According to him, the new generation is a leader shaping the country's environmental consciousness.

At the end of the meeting, a signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation between the Akimat of the Atyrau region and religious figures within the framework of the environmental program "Taza Kazakstan" took place. This document became an important step symbolizing the joint responsibility of religion and government agencies in the field of environmental protection.
