For the first time in the history of domestic engineering, bus bodywork will be made using Kazakh metal certified according to international quality standards. The Qarmet Metallurgical Plant has started supplying 08KP galvanized steel for the new stamping production of body parts at the QazTehna plant located in Sarani.

It is noted that QazTehna, as part of the investment program, is implementing a project to create the first specialized stamping body in Kazakhstan with an area of more than 10,000 square meters. m. The production will be equipped with a unique hydraulic press designed for the manufacture of complex body components. The project cost is more than 20 billion tenge, financing is carried out at the expense of QazTehna's own funds with the support of the Industrial Development Fund. Commissioning is scheduled for August 2025.

At the first stage, it is planned to produce body parts for Yutong city, tourist and school buses, and later for HOWO commercial vehicles.

"Entering the mechanical engineering segment is a strategically important step for Qarmet. We confirm that Kazakhstan's metallurgy, taking into account major investment projects, is able to fulfill all the tasks of supporting domestic production and creating added value within the country," the Qarmet press service commented.
