The Ambassador of Kazakhstan delivered a lecture at the University of Skopje

Skopje, May 4, 2025 – Kazakhstan Ambassador to North Macedonia Satybaldy Burshakov delivered a presentation lecture to students and professors of the University of Skopje, with the rector Ace Milenkovski.

In his speech, the Ambassador spoke about the political and socio-economic development of Kazakhstan, key aspects of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, as well as the prospects for bilateral cooperation.

The Kazakh diplomat informed the audience in detail about the implementation of political reforms initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the investment potential of our country, due to its strategic geographical location and stable macroeconomic dynamics.

Special attention was paid to interethnic harmony and interfaith dialogue, which form an integral basis of Kazakhstan's socio-political stability. Ambassador Burshakov stressed that the policy pursued by the President of Kazakhstan is aimed at developing the principles of justice, the rule of law and equal opportunities for all citizens, which contributes to the consolidation of society and sustainable development of the country.

The audience was particularly interested in significant events in bilateral relations, such as the opening of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in 2024, the participation of a high–level delegation of North Macedonia in the Astana International Forum in May this year, during which the presidents of the two countries met, as well as the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the cities of Karaganda and Kumanovo.

The University management expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Kazakhstan for the opportunity to get acquainted with our country and noted the importance of organizing such meetings in the future for the development of academic cooperation, scientific and educational ties and the expansion of intercultural dialogue between the two countries.

After the speech, Ambassador Burshakov answered questions from university teachers and students.

For reference: The University of Skopje was founded in 2006. The University specializes in training qualified specialists in the field of tourism and management, providing a high level of education and practical skills. The number of students is 800 people.
