A solemn graduation ceremony was held in Astana for officers of the operational-tactical management level — master’s degree graduates of the National Defense University of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This year, more than 150 graduates will join the command ranks of the Armed Forces and other military formations of Kazakhstan.

Among the graduates were 19 officers of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Notably, Colonel Arman Iskakov of the National Guard successfully defended his doctoral dissertation and was awarded a PhD degree while studying in the university’s doctoral program.

The National Defense University is Kazakhstan’s largest interdepartmental educational, methodological, and research center, playing a coordinating role in the academic and scientific activities of military institutions under the Armed Forces.

— "Today we honor the graduates of our university. They are now tasked with leading military units and strengthening the combat readiness and professionalism of our armed forces. I would also like to highlight the presence of officers from friendly nations — Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan — who studied alongside our own. This promotes military brotherhood and cooperation between our armies," — said First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sultan Kamaletdinov.

Over the years, the university has trained more than 1,500 military professionals in operational-tactical and operational-strategic command roles.

— Congratulations on achieving another significant milestone in your military careers. I am confident that you leave these halls not only with solid knowledge, but also with a spirit of camaraderie, mutual support, and unity — values that will grow stronger with time, just like the defense capabilities of our nations, — said Baurzhan Abzhanov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard.

The ceremony concluded with a joint performance by the Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard and the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces, followed by a weapons drill demonstration by the Honor Guard Company.

As per tradition, the graduates marched in a ceremonial parade and sang the patriotic anthem “Atameken”, accompanied by the Exemplary Band of the National Guard.
