From 5 to 7 June, competitions in national sports - kokpar, baige, audarispak, asyk ata, zhamby ata, dasturli sadak ata, togyzkumalak and tengye il - were held in Bukhar-Zhyrau district, Kurylys village. More than 400 representatives of the cities and districts of our region competed for victory in them.

The grand opening of the championship and the award ceremony were attended by the chairman of the regional maslikhat, President of the Association of National Sports of the Karaganda region Nurken Kobzhanov. Athletes and guests were also welcomed by the head of UFKiS Serik Sapiev. 

- These competitions are the opening of the season. A festival on national sports will be held in July, and another event will be held in August. And in September, we will also hold a large-scale season closing," explained Nurzhan Shaykhin, Vice President of the Association. - And all competitions will be organized in the village of Kurylys, near Karaganda. Because this location is convenient for both participants and those who want to attend the competition as spectators. I would like to emphasize that cash prizes are provided for the winners and prize-winners of the tournaments. So keep an eye on the announcements and come to our national sports celebrations!

There were many not only participants, but also fans at the opening of the season. So the start was a success.

The 2008-2010 Karaganda Region Junior Championship was held in Kokpara. Here are its results:

1st place - Karkaralinsky district;

2nd place - Shetskiy district;

3rd place - Nurinsky and Aktogay districts.

A national team will be formed from the best players, which will take part in the championship of Kazakhstan in the Almaty region in August.
