In the Mendykarinsky district, explanatory meetings are being held with the population on issues of increasing religious literacy.
Members of the district information and outreach group visited a number of organizations, where they met with labor collectives, students and youth of the district.
During the events, the following topics were raised:“How to protect young people from unwanted online recruitment”, “What are the signs of religious movements?”, “The importance of preserving spiritual values and traditions”, and others.
- "Various recruitment methods are very common today, they can be carried out through various Internet resources, forums, social networks or during face-to-face conversations. You may not notice how you become a target of a radical organization," the speakers emphasized during their speeches.
During the meetings, the speakers raised issues that can help listeners improve their religious literacy and protect them from joining unwanted organizations.
Also, such meetings are aimed at preventing threats that entail radical ideas and developing critical thinking among the local population.
A huge number of different ethnic groups live in the Mendykara district, for this reason, explanatory meetings are regularly held in the district. They are aimed at preventing religious extremism and terrorism, as well as strengthening interethnic and interfaith harmony.
