Kazakhstan and Israel Strengthen Cooperation in Agriculture

Tel Aviv, June 12, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan Daulet Yemberdiyev met with Avi Dichter – Israel’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.

Ambassador Yemberdiyev highlighted the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation and addressed a broad range of issues covering crop and livestock production, veterinary services, agricultural science, efficient water resource management technologies, and professional training.

During the meeting, particular attention was paid to the implementation of drip irrigation systems, optimization of water use, and the application of advanced agricultural technologies. The parties also discussed prospects for joint research projects and the adaptation of Israeli expertise in Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector.

As part of scientific exchange, the parties considered cooperation with the Volcani Center for Agricultural Research, including the possibility of organizing online sessions with the participation of Kazakhstani ministries and research institutions.

The Israeli side expressed interest in importing Kazakhstani wheat and bran, and confirmed its readiness to host a Kazakh delegation to discuss specific steps and assess the potential of the proposed initiatives.

Both parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to actively promoting the development of agricultural partnership.
