Kazakhstan - A New Destination for Saudi Tourists

Riyadh, June 12, 2025 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the support of JSC “NC Kazakh Tourism” hosted a roundtable dedicated to exploring the tourism potential of Kazakhstan.
The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia, Ambassadors and diplomats from Central Asian countries and Turkey, as well as local travel companies and media. The Kazakh delegation included leading tour operators and the Regional Representative of Air Astana for the Middle East, Galymzhan Bazilbayev.
In his welcoming remarks, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, Madiyar Menilbekov, highlighted the growing interest of Saudi nationals in Kazakhstan and emphasized the importance of deepening tourism cooperation between the two countries.
The roundtable featured presentations on Kazakhstan’s key tourism offerings, with particular attention given to active, wellness, and cultural tourism. Participants discussed opportunities to enhance air connectivity, develop tailored travel packages, and foster collaboration between industry stakeholders. Representatives of Air Astana and Kite Travel shared their plans for expanding routes and improving services for travelers from the Middle East. A promotional videos showcasing Kazakhstan’s diverse attractions were also screened.
The event concluded with a B2B networking session, during which participants discussed concrete steps to advance bilateral partnerships. Guests had the opportunity to experience elements of Kazakh culture and sample traditional cuisine. Attendees expressed their appreciation to the organizers for the warm hospitality and the valuable contribution the event made to strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.
Tourist arrivals from Saudi Arabia to Kazakhstan continue to show steady growth year after year, reflecting a positive trend in bilateral cooperation and increasing mutual interest.
