The International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects (ICIPC) and the Shanghai Scientific and Technical Exchange Center have signed a strategic cooperation agreement that opens the way for direct relations with one of the largest platforms for green technologies in Asia - the Green Technology Bank.

The agreement was an important step in strengthening the scientific and technical dialogue between Kazakhstan and China and opened wide prospects for the rapid introduction of advanced environmental solutions into the republic's economy. Now Kazakhstan enterprises, research centers and start-ups can use the developments in China's database, including innovations in renewable energy, water resources, waste treatment, agroecology and other areas.

According to the agreement reached, the Shanghai Scientific and Technical Exchange Center undertook to provide the Kazakhstan side with access to the technological database and the expert network of the Green Technology Bank. In addition, it is planned to organize annual joint events with the participation of Kazakhstani companies - including roadshows, forums and business missions - with the possibility of financial support from the Chinese side. Another separate direction is the systematic evaluation and support of twenty priority green projects in Kazakhstan: experts participate in the development of work plans and provide recommendations on adapting technologies to the conditions and requirements of the local market. Saken Kalkamanov noted the strategic importance of the signed document: "Kazakhstan can directly use the experience and solutions of one of the global leaders in the field of green technologies. This creates a solid foundation for rapid implementation of environmental innovations, attracting investments and developing technological partnerships. We consider this as a strategic tool for promoting a sustainable future for our country." Both sides expressed confidence that the signed agreement will not only strengthen bilateral cooperation within the framework of global initiatives such as "One Belt, One Road", but also become a practical tool for Kazakhstan's entry into the international green agenda by exchanging knowledge, opening new markets and launching joint projects.
