The World Organization for the Protection of Animals (WPO) has officially approved the self-declaration of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the status of a country free from highly pathogenic avian influenza. This important recognition is the result of the systematic and scientifically based work of the veterinary service of Kazakhstan aimed at ensuring epizootic suitability and biological safety.

According to international requirements, the Ministry of Agriculture has sent the complete documentation containing data on epidemiological monitoring, preventive measures, control of bird health and the fact that there was no outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in the territory of Kazakhstan. confirms and provides an additional opportunity to increase the export potential of domestic poultry products, especially to enter the market of countries with strict veterinary requirements.

The Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue its targeted work on maintaining and expanding epizootic statuses, and will continue to provide high standards in the field of biological safety and veterinary supervision.
