The lifeguard station started its work on the shore of Buktyrma reservoir in the village of Novostroyka, Samar district. The station will be staffed by fire fighters and emergency rescue team members of the SKO TJD throughout the summer season.
The lifeguard station is equipped with the necessary rescue equipment, including special swimming gear and a fire fighting vehicle.
Lifeguards conduct patrols in boats, and firemen monitor the observance of fire safety rules by vacationers and property owners along the approximately 110-kilometer coast. Instructions and training are carried out by handing out memos to vacationers.
"The main task is to prevent accidents on the water and fires in objects located on the coast. Last season, firefighters extinguished grass fires and prevented the fire from spreading to the recreation centers. Being on duty in swimming gear made it possible to ensure the safety of vacationers and to come to emergency help," - Ishar Savazov, deputy head of the SKO TJD.
Before the beginning of the swimming season, the owners of private recreation areas were given letters by the employees of the ТС service with recommendations to take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of citizens.
In case of emergency, call 101 or 112.
