In Astana, a meeting of the heads of the operational divisions of the ministries of internal affairs of the CIS member states on issues of action against organized crime was held.

The participants of the event were addressed by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Police Lieutenant General Yerzhan Sadenov. He emphasized the importance of strengthening interstate cooperation not only in the fight against organized crime, but also in the fight against all types of crime in general, ensuring public safety and responding to current threats.

The Director of the Coordination Bureau for the Fight against Organized Crime, Police Lieutenant General Oleg Konovalov, as well as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan Internal Affairs. Heads of ministries made a report.

During the meeting, suppression of channels of illegal arms trafficking, strengthening of information exchange and action against criminal groups were discussed.

Participants of the meeting expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan for organizing the event at a high level.
