The Power Central Asia + China forum launches strategic projects in the field of oil and gas chemistry and "green" energy

The international event is organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the "Association of Infrastructure and Innovative Development Assistance" (ASIIR). At the meeting organized within the framework of the "Central Asia-China" summit, representatives of government and business groups are discussing and planning the implementation of strategic initiatives in the field of energy, industry and high technologies.
The main goal of the forum is to implement political cooperation and agreements between the two countries reached by the heads of state. As a result, strategic projects that will strengthen the energy security of the country, accelerate the deep processing of raw materials and create conditions for the transition to an efficient energy economy will be implemented, and large investment agreements will be concluded. Flagship projects and agreements
During the plenary session, representatives of Kazakhstan and China presented projects implemented through strategic agreements:
Modernization of the Shymkent thermal power plant: the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KazMunayGas JSC and CNPC aim to increase the plant capacity to 12 million tons per year signs a framework agreement. As a result, the country's potential for processing raw materials and exporting oil products will increase.
Gas sector: launching a urea production plant in Aktobe region. The framework agreement is concluded between QazaqGaz NC, Aktobe Oblast Administration and Chinese partners. In addition, China Construction Bank Corporation will provide a credit line of $1 billion to finance infrastructure projects. For example, the construction of the Sauran solar power plant equipped with an energy storage device, the construction of hydroaccumulation stations with China Southern Power Grid, and the signing of memorandums of cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy with China Energy International are planned. He said that they are ready for localization. Within the framework of the forum, a number of agreements on the creation of research and development (R&D) centers, the implementation of digital solutions and the development of high-tech industries will be concluded. Among the main documents are agreements on the modernization of the Shymkent nuclear power plant, the creation of gas-chemical production and the introduction of renewable energy source technologies. The signed agreements and large-scale projects will be the basis of regional energy security and stable economy.
