As of June 1, 2025, the number of recipients of social payments due to unemployment from the State Social Insurance Fund (hereinafter referred to as the State Social Insurance Fund) amounted to 202.8 thousand people. At the same time, 138,200 people were paid for the first time this year. The total amount of payments was 51.6 billion tenge.

According to the current legislation, laid off workers receive social benefits for 1 to 6 months of unemployment depending on their participation in the mandatory social insurance system and their income in the last 24 months. Up to 45% of the lost income will be paid from the funds of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

For the payment of a dismissed employee:

- log in to the eGov.kz portal;

- select the "Jobseeker Registration" service in the "Employment and Employment" section;

- order the online service, fill in all the fields and sign it with the electronic signature. it is necessary to send an application;

- within one day the career center of your place of residence (hereinafter - MO) will offer vacancies;

- if a job is not found, the status of unemployed will be given remotely within 3 working days (if necessary, an employee of the MO will contact you to collect additional information);

This service can also be obtained online through the Electronic Labor Exchange (enbek.kz). the information system sends an SMS message to the mobile phone to agree to the service on the assignment of payment from the MEC in a proactive format. In case of agreement, it is necessary to reply to the SMS message. The payment is assigned automatically.

We remind you that the social payment paid in case of loss of work at the expense of the Social Security Fund is carried out regardless of the reasons for leaving work and is intended to support an unemployed person during his job search.
