On June 11, 2025, members of the Pavlodar regional public council - Abetzhanov D., Bekseyitova B., Korepanov D., Regatunova M. - within the framework of the republican action "Public eco-monitoring of touristic and cultural-historical objects". Under the chairmanship of B. Demeuov, together with the representatives of the scientific community and the group of experts, they monitored the condition of the natural monument "Kazdar Nasensy".

As is known, during the annual spring floods, the bones of ancient animals are discovered from the subsoil on the banks of the Irtysh.

As the members of the expert group emphasized, today it is very important to preserve the area, which is about 400 meters long and has a concentration of unique exhibits. This is because in the last 20 years, as a result of the spring floods of the Irtysh region, one third of the bone layer in the land of "Kazdar Nashesi" was washed away. Currently, the reason for the limitation of conservation works of this natural monument is its status - this status does not allow any actions. According to experts, it is necessary to change the status of the natural monument in order to save the coast.

"We are losing this monument. Since the beginning of the study, we have lost 30% of this monument. This is due to the influence of our river. Therefore, the issue of changing the status of this monument is urgent. No work can be carried out in the current status of "specially protected natural area". We propose to transfer it to another category where conservation and restoration work can be carried out," says Marina Regatunova, chairperson of the Pavlodar regional public council's committee on ecology and environmental protection issues.

According to scientists: "It is necessary to fix the coast so that it does not wash away. This area is not large, but the natural monument should be given a proper appearance. This monument is a natural heritage of world importance. There are about 20 similar places in the world. But a place like this, located on the border of the city and with a unique cross section, is the only one". To implement the most appropriate of them, it is necessary to make a positive decision to change the status of a natural monument.
