Between January and May 2025, the Committee for the Protection of Consumer Rights of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its territorial departments provided legal assistance to citizens during the purchase of goods, services and real estate, and carried out extensive work in the direction of restoring their violated rights. Complaints were often related to low-quality goods (cars, cosmetics, mobile phones), unfulfilled services (resort tickets, public catering, fitness, tourism), as well as real estate that was not formalized or not delivered on time.

Examples of real assistance to citizens:

• A real estate object purchased by a customer for 215 million tenge in Almaty, but sold to a third party. The related dispute was resolved positively with the intervention of the department.
• In the Karagandy region, the fulfillment of the terms of the contract for an apartment that was not given for more than 45 days was ensured, and the customer obtained a real estate worth 33.5 million tenge. during the process, department specialists supported and as a result 6.6 million tenge compensation was collected.
• In Pavlodar and Zhetysu regions, the rights of dozens of consumers were protected on a group basis: a 10.8 million tenge loan issued for a set of cosmetics and 7.2 million tenge were returned for undelivered smartphones. compensation was given.
• Citizens demanded compensation and defended their rights even for a low-quality toy worth 700 tenge.

These data are not just statistics. Behind every request lies a real destiny, hope and belief in justice. Kazakhstanis are active in protecting their rights. We highly appreciate this trend.

The Committee and its territorial departments will continue to make efforts to protect the interests of consumers, ensure the implementation of legislation and increase the legal culture.
