From 2023, Father's Day will be officially celebrated in Kazakhstan on the third Sunday of June.  

Fathers are real heroes of everyday life. They are a source of strength, wisdom and responsibility for their children and family. A father is not only a breadwinner, but also an educator, a spiritual support that contributes to the formation of a child as a person.

Kazakh people have always appreciated the father as a pillar of the family, an adviser and a caring educator. Mukhtar Auezov famously said about this: "Father is a great mountain." The great educator Ybyray Altynsarin also emphasized the role of the father in the upbringing of children: "First of all, their parents, especially fathers, are responsible for the upbringing of children". This is a clear manifestation of equality and mutual support in the family.

Development of father institution in our country is an important direction of family and gender policy. This task is reflected in the concept of family and gender policy until 2030, and specific measures are being taken in this direction.

More than 7 thousand events are held every year to support the Institute of Fathers, involving more than 600 thousand people. Large-scale events aimed at organizing a joint vacation of fathers and children - sports tournaments, thematic concerts, theater performances - are taking place this year. This is a platform that unites active fathers from all regions of the country. More than 500 fathers' councils and fathers' clubs have been established in kindergartens, and they are actively involved in family and child education. "Fathers' Union" implements a number of important projects, including: "Alaman" fathers' football league, "Fathers' week", "Conscious father" trainings, Central Asian seminar on fighting violence, "Special fathers of special children" program, support for single fathers, "Bala Tolagay" There are sports competitions between fathers and children.

At the initiative of the "Union of Fathers" and with the support of the National Commission, the Republican Forum of Fathers is held - this is an important platform for strengthening family values ​​and sharing experience.

It should be noted that today's holiday - Father's Day - was officially approved in the country at the initiative of the participants of the VII Republican Forum.

This year, the 10th anniversary Republican Forum was held. This is an important annual event that brings together active citizens and fathers from all over the country. Within the framework of the forum, the actual issues related to child upbringing, the role of the father in the modern family, and the best practices of responsible fatherhood were discussed. In the last 10 years, more than 3,000 active fathers participated in this forum.

The development of the Institute of Fathers is bearing fruit. According to the results of the survey, more than 75% of the respondents note that today the relationship between father and son has become much more reliable than before.
