On June 13 of this year, within the framework of the tasks of the Presidents of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, at the intersection of the checkpoints "Atameken" (Turkestan region, Republic of Kazakhstan) and "Gulstan" (Syrdarya region, Republic of Uzbekistan), under the chairmanship of the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliev and the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, the International Industrial Cooperation Center "Central Asia" was opened. a field meeting was held on the issues of creation.

During the meeting, the parties presented the initial contours of the development of the HSC. The participants discussed in detail the issues related to infrastructural provision and efficient operation of the center. Particular attention was paid to the planning of construction stages, the selection of a place for a special (connected) transition between the centers, as well as further development of the transport and logistics potential of the border region.

Proposals on supplementing the KSPO with specific industrial projects, including prospective directions of cooperation with a separate block and models of attracting investors, were considered. Mechanisms of selection of joint production initiatives, ways of forming the added value chain, as well as measures of state support and favorable regimes for the residents of the Center were discussed.

According to the conclusion of the Council, the local executive bodies of the two countries were instructed to ensure the infrastructural readiness of the adjacent territories for the future of the CSC, taking into account the planned industrial and logistics development.

Also, during the visit, the delegation was located in Syrdaria, Kazakhstan One of the largest manufacturers of polymer packaging in the CIS - "SIRDARYO MEGA LUKS" LLP JV.
