Brasilia, June 16, 2025 – as part of a courtesy visit, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov and the new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Ms. Susan Kleebank, during which the Kazakh diplomat, congratulating the interlocutor on her appointment, wished her success in strengthening and expanding bilateral Kazakh-Brazilian relations.

During the conversation, a wide range of issues on the political, trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian and multilateral agenda of relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil were discussed.

The talks also included an exchange on the organization of cross visits at the high and highest levels, the organization of regular meetings of inter-parliamentary friendship groups, political consultations, the Business Council and the expansion of the legal framework between Kazakhstan and Brazil.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan thanked the Brazilian side for active cooperation on international platforms. In particular, for co-authorship of the Resolution on the establishment of the UN Regional Centre for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan, adopted on March 4, 2025 at the plenary session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

In the context of interregional cooperation, the parties discussed the possibility of further expanding contacts between the regions of the two countries. Particular attention was paid to organizing visits of Kazakhstan delegations to Brazil as part of participation in the BRICS Summit of Member States and Partners in Rio de Janeiro in July, as well as the UN Climate Change Conference COP30 in Belem in November this year in light of Brazil's chairmanship of these international structures.

The parties reaffirmed their intentions to maintain permanent working contacts and exchange operational information regarding cross-visits of the leadership of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Republic of Brazil.
