From June 12 to June 15, 2025, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the UWW Grappling and Grappling World Cup (World Cup 2025 Grappling & Grappling Gi), a large—scale international sporting event that brought together over 1,000 of the best fighters from around the world.
Athletes from Kazakhstan, Russia, India, Lebanon, the Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the United States, Brazil and other countries took part in the tournament. The tournament has become a real arena for demonstrating strength, endurance, technique and indomitable will.
Utetleev Ayan, a resident of the village of Baishuak, became a special pride for our region, who worthily represented not only our district, but also the whole country.
In the "Grappling Gi" section (in a kimono) Ayan won the deserved first place, demonstrating the highest level of technical and tactical training.
In the Grappling section (without kimono), he took second place, losing only in the final match — this is a confirmation of his stability and versatility as a fighter.
His path to victory was not easy: hours of training, overcoming pain, doubts and fatigue. But Ayan proved that hard work, dedication and discipline always produce results. He showed that even from a small rural settlement it is possible to reach the world level — if there is a purpose and character.
These victories are not just medals, they are an example for young people, an inspiration for athletes, and a real pride for their native village and the whole country.
Congratulations to Ayan on his well-deserved success and wish him new sporting achievements, good health, and a bright career in the international arena!
