In February of this year, the government approved a comprehensive development plan for the Karaganda agglomeration. It is planned to launch at least 15 new manufacturing plants in the region in the next five years. This will create over 17,000 permanent jobs and improve the well-being of the population.

Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev spoke about the advantages of the agglomeration approach at the republican seminar on the development of single-industry towns.

- Why did we create the Karaganda agglomeration? We've brought science and our leading universities here, and they've proved it all. Currently, all development plans are based on the agglomeration. The first is a unified public transport system that connects satellite cities with Karaganda. We are currently modeling it. There is a single tariff in passenger transportation, taking into account daily labor migration, electronic ticketing has been introduced," the head of the region noted. It is being done to make logistics convenient for business. And, of course, social issues, housing.

The governor of the region gave the example of Temirtau, where they began to develop a metallurgical cluster. To do this, we have created a pool of projects. Government support for small and medium-sized businesses is provided.

There is also an emphasis on anchor projects and the creation of small industrial zones.

Attention is also paid to the training of specialists in demand on the labor market: enterprises need qualified labor.
