Bukhtarma Reservoir is a popular summer vacation spot. As the number of swimmers and outdoor recreationists on the shores of the lake increases, special attention is paid to safety issues. The Department of Emergency Situations of the East Kazakhstan Region opened a special rescue station in the village of Novostroyka, Samar District.
Rescuers and firefighters are on duty at the new station throughout the summer. They are ready to provide prompt assistance in the event of an emergency. The staff is equipped with special rescue equipment, boats for swimming and a fire engine.
While rescuers monitor safety at the reservoir, firefighters walk along the 110-kilometer coastline, explaining fire safety rules to vacationers and owners of recreation centers.
In addition, information leaflets are distributed and explanatory work is carried out. This is good news for those who want to relax on Bukhtarma. After all, such monitoring allows vacationers to relax safely.
