During the meeting on the development of single-industry towns, Vice Minister of National Economy Bauyrzhan Omarbekov presented measures to support domestic producers through the procurement system.

«It is necessary to provide for amendments to legislation regarding the introduction of obligations for large customers to conclude long-term contracts and offset contracts, implement a program for the development of domestic value, increase the share of domestic value in the procurement of goods, works, services, the development of SMEs and other areas to support domestic producers», — he said.

According to the ministry, in 2024, the volume of purchases in single-industry towns amounted to 2,7 trillion tenge, while the share of Kazakh products reached 70,2%.
