Attracting investment is on the agenda

The meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin was dedicated to the discussion of investment projects in the sphere of industry and agro-industrial complex. Akim of the region, Nurlybek Nalibayev, took part in its work in the conference call mode.
It should be noted that this year the task is set to attract 86.4 billion tenge of investments to the agricultural sector of the region. According to the results of five months of the current year, the volume of investments in the production of agricultural and food products amounted to more than 4.7 billion tenge, which is 26 percent more compared to the same period last year.
The Roadmap of investment projects in the agro-industrial complex of the region for 2025-2027 was adopted for the sustainable attraction of investments. It includes 30 projects that will create 295 jobs. This year it is planned to implement 14 projects with a total cost of 13.4 billion tenge. In the reporting period, industry produced almost 427 billion tenge (0.4% growth). The volume of production in the manufacturing industry amounted to 155.3 billion tenge (growth - 18.2%). To diversify the economy for 2025-2028, 89 investment projects are planned; the implementation of 27 of them began this year. One of the major investment projects in the energy sector is the construction of a combined heat and power plant with a capacity of 240 megawatts. A brick plant worth five billion tenge has been put into operation, meeting the needs of the region by 90 percent. In addition, this year it is planned to launch production facilities in the food sector - a complex for the production of bakery, pasta and confectionery products, a plant for the production of camel milk powder, as well as two industrial zones with an area of two thousand square meters each. Camel milk powder will be fully exported to China under an off-take agreement with a Chinese company.
This year, three solar power plants with a total cost of 24.2 billion tenge and a capacity of 90 megawatts will be put into operation. Construction of 14 large facilities worth 553.6 billion tenge will also begin.
